iRead iWoz

iRead iWoz. It was a Christmas gift from my wife. Having heard Woz speak a number of times on the TWiT podcast, I found myself reading the book with Woz’s voice and mannerisms in my head. This 300 page book is a fast read. I was hoping to learn more about Woz’s plane crash, but he claimed to have no memory of it. In any event, my purpose was not to share a book review. I just wanted to share that I did enjoy the book although the last chapter was a little too preachy for my tastes. For as much of a prankster that Woz continues to be, it is too bad that he was unable to get the publisher to purposely skip a couple of page numbers or another prank on the readers.
My daugther’s 4th grade teacher left the business world after 20 years to become a teacher. As we were thinking of a Christmas gift for him, I knew that iWoz was the perfect gift. Woz too came from the business world and became a teacher. Elizabeth told me this evening that her teacher had finished the book. She told her teacher that her daddy read the same book in a few days time. Some friends came over for New Years Eve and I lent the book out to a fellow Windows user who had a curiosity about the Woz.

I have also enjoyed hearing him on TWIT. I wish he would try to bring the ceramic knives on a plane again

I read on woz.org a story of his fake ID that he once used in Vegas. He is wearing a patch over one eye and is title on the ID is a Laser Safety Officer or Inspector. Too funny.
